How to choose MP4, GIF, WebM, and resolution
Pick the right export format and quality before baking a Screenfly demo.
Choose format based on destination
Screenfly lets you choose an export format before bake. The right choice depends on where the asset will be used.
Use MP4 for:
- landing pages
- help centers
- customer emails
- sales follow-ups
- general sharing
Use GIF for:
- short loops
- social posts
- changelog snippets
- quick visual examples
Use WebM only when your destination supports it and you specifically want that format.
Choose resolution
Choose the highest useful resolution for the destination. Higher resolution can look better, but it also creates larger files.
Plan limits may affect available output quality. Free exports are limited compared with paid plans.
Select before baking
Format and resolution are applied during bake. If you need another format later, change the export settings and bake a new output.
