Screenfly

How to use the Library

Use the Screenfly Library to manage original recordings, imported videos, and baked outputs.

What the Library is for

The Library is the home for your video assets. It includes:

  • original Screenfly recordings
  • imported local videos
  • baked videos created from Studio

Think of Library as inventory. Studio is where you edit; Library is where you find, open, and manage the files you have created.

Original and baked assets

Library cards are labeled by asset type.

Original means the file is a source asset, such as a recording or imported video.

Baked means the file is a finished output created by the bake pipeline. A baked video reflects your selected skip zones, crop, subtitles, voiceover, music, device frame, format, and quality.

Open a video in Studio

Use Open in editor on a Library card to work with that file in Studio. Screenfly creates or reuses a project as needed and loads the selected file as a Project file.

You can attach the same Library asset to a project without deleting or duplicating the original source.

Filter the Library

Use the Library filter to switch between:

  • All videos
  • Original
  • Baked

This is useful when you want to find finished exports quickly or clean up source recordings that are no longer needed.
