How storage limits work

Learn what counts toward Screenfly storage and what you can still do when your account reaches its quota.

Storage is the creation limit

Screenfly plans are storage-limited. Storage-producing actions can be blocked when your account is at or over quota.

Storage-producing actions include:

  • recording uploads
  • imported videos
  • narration audio assets
  • generated recordings
  • baked video outputs

What does not count as media storage

Project metadata does not create large media files. Settings such as subtitles, skip zones, crop boxes, share links, and Project file attachments are lightweight compared with video and audio assets.

What happens at quota

When you are at or over quota, you can still view, edit, delete, download, and share existing assets.

Actions that create new stored media may be blocked until you delete files or upgrade.

How to reduce storage

Start by reviewing Library. Delete source recordings or old baked outputs you no longer need.

If you regularly create longer demos, narrated videos, or multiple baked variants, consider a plan with more storage.
